What state do you find yourself in as you rise to greet the new day? What first comes to mind? Perhaps, you take joy in anticipating what this day will bring. Maybe, you are hesitant, uncertain about what’s in store. The day may bring challenges, opportunities or both. When we choose to maintain a positive frame of mind we find ourselves attracting those situations that work in our favor. Perhaps we can usher in positive aspects from adverse circumstances. When we dwell in optimism, we end up believing that all will go well in our personal and professional affairs. While in harmony, we tend to rest on our laurels and when challenges strike we somehow fail to see the rainbow beyond the clouds of our discontent.
DISCOVER WHAT IT IS YOU ALREADY KNOW
While we observe the ordeal, we lose our way because we channel a negative state of mind. Perhaps caught up between what was and what is, trapped in a condition of continuity, and perpetuity, believing the situation will never change. We interpret the experience as unmanageable and quite baffling. We look at the perplexing problem and end up verbalizing our condition. Rather than detecting that this trial may potentially guide us to a path we are meant to take. We all been there seemingly lost, expecting some dreadful occurrence to strike. We search within only to uncover something else to be anxious, doubtful and fearful about as we strain to discover what it is we already know.
STATE OF PERPETUAL PATIENCE
Perhaps, after a night of tossing and turning, we find our first thought of the day to be quite vexing. There we are lost somewhere in a state resignation. Where do our thoughts come from as we delve into a series of rationalizations, thinking to the point of exhaustion. Apparently, something is beckoning our attention. Calling out for us to be mindful, alert, perhaps careful. Simply put, something is bothering the heck out of us. We know what it is, but we continue to move forward steadfast in denial.
WHY CHOOSE TO REST IN A STATE OF UNEASE
We know. We feel it, perceive it, recognize it, and as uncomfortable as it is, it permeates the space of awareness. Considerable time passed, and we remain and rest in the state of unease. Is it anxiety or worry? I believe it to be neither; instead, I consider it to be more in line with disharmony, and subtle opposition albeit without the conflict or disagreement. The indifference and unresponsiveness settle awkwardly, as we resolve to stay in a state of annoyance, displeasure, and sheer frustration. Nonetheless, the foreboding of an amusing wariness, sneaky suspicion ascertains there is more to the story.
So, what does a person do, standby just submitting to caginess, silently stewing in reticence? No, of course not, after all, they awoke to this disturbing, nagging annoyance. Shuttering at the thought of the outcome if they were to take a stand and ask for a reasonable explanation. Then out of the blue, you grab hold of the tail end of conviction and courage and blurt out, “What’s going on?” Realizing you said it loud enough for the other person to hear. Now looking directly at you blankly, they respond rather quickly, “Nothing.” Interesting, just as we suspected.
If your actions don’t live up to your words, you have nothing to say.
YOU HAVE THE ANSWER
Perhaps, the answers you seek are secure, safe, and sound within you. Therefore, pose the question to yourself, rather than someone else. Ask what part you played in why you are feeling the way you do. What did you do? What didn’t you do? Maybe, you need to reflect more on why you find yourself in the place of uneasiness and restlessness. By delving deeply into the matter that lurks within, you discover you must decide what is best. Even though a reasonable explanation may lead to better understanding, more often than not, you already know the answer without having to hear the other person’s story. Actions speak louder than words.
