How we choose to think ushers in happiness or unhappiness. Happiness is inherent, innate, and intrinsic. I know most of us prefer happy over unhappy. If that is the case, why are so many people unhappy? Life ebbs and flows. We aren’t always wallowing in the pit of despair. Nor are we always at the pinnacle of delight. I would say to all of you who are young, or young at heart that you “make your happy.”
In the past, I believed annoying thoughts harbor truth. Perhaps they were true, but did it matter after twenty-plus years? After the communication breakdown, after the breakup, after the failure, long after what happened? Regardless, mind chatter isn’t trustworthy at all. If you take anything away after reading this blog post… I hope you understand that whatever you went through wasn’t meant to keep you entrapped. You weren’t destined to keep lugging around that ball and chain for the rest of your life. So why do you choose to do so? Why carry thoughts that bear excessive weight?
I would suggest the catch and release method… catch yourself whenever you have a negative thought and quickly release it by replacing it with a positive one.
Now, what will it take to tap into your happiness?
DO YOU WANT TO CREATE A BETTER STORY THAT LEADS TO HAPPINESS? THEN THE LIST BELOW MAY HELP:
(1) Go after what is essential first then what you fancy. If it doesn’t materialize, then understand that there’s a lesson to learn before you secure what you desire. Perhaps you aren’t ready for what you would like to manifest.
(2) Express your truth by living it. When living authentically, you have nothing left to hide, no rock left unturned, and you are free.
Free from secrets.
Free to dream.
Free to create.
Free to discover.
Freedom is a stepping-stone.
(3) Just be you, the person you are, the individual meant to be.
(4) Happiness stems from pursuing passions, dreams, and wishes. When you deny yourself from engaging your dream, you end up living a life of regret.
(5) As you seek out your passion, you will eventually discover your purpose. So, it’s important to keep your options open. Delve into the things you are somewhat interested in as it may lead to what you absolutely love.
(6) When you discover your purpose, you will appreciate your passion.
(7) Pursue what’s important and meaningful.
(8) Can’t locate what you’re looking for or find it difficult to identify what you need or want? Blaze a new trail in another direction, away from the current route you travel, away from distraction.
(9) Take a chance, a risk, or opportunity, and experience an adventure of a lifetime.
(10) Don’t waste time fixated on what’s dysfunctional. Fix it once, fix it twice, but the third time around release whatever isn’t working and use time wisely by exploring what does.
(11) Take inventory… are you on track to fulfilling your mission or on target to achieving your big dreams, hopes, wishes, or prayers?
(12) Believe your prayers are attainable.
(13) Live clear of fear, beyond the limitation, outside of the negative emotions, and you will live in peace.
(14) Harmony, serenity, and unity lead to happiness.
(15) Search within and listen to your wise counsel for your intuition guides and directs you.
You have the answers.
You already know what inspires you.
You are empowered to invent and design the life you wish.
So why not create a happy life?
Happiness, true happiness, is an inner quality. It is a state of mind. If your mind is at peace, you are happy. If your mind is at peace, but you have nothing else, you can be happy. If you have everything the world can give – pleasure, possessions, power – but lack peace of mind, you can never be happy.
