Indecision isn’t a friend, it will tie up valuable time if you let it. This is when the nanoseconds count the most. When we lose time, we never get it back. In fact, here we can wallow in places, spaces, or situations not worthy of the time we have left. It’s when fleeting moments have an even greater importance, and knowing this can change everything. The key is to bravely take the road to decisiveness, a road we must travel if we want to succeed.
Stay stuck, get nowhere, is a choice. Why not focus on those next steps to get out of a rut? It’s time to get real, to stop wasting valuable time, depleting energy on worthless pursuits, on meaningless situations, on anyone who distracts and prevents you from being the best version of you. The point I’m trying to make is, the moment you stop dilly dallying in counter-productive distractions, the sooner you’ll tap into decisiveness.
In life, there’s a tendency to overthink to the point of ad nauseam. What if we were to disconnect for a time, giving the term ghosting a new meaning? I say, what the heck… be the ghost. Take a personal time-out, settle yourself down, and ask yourself those pertinent life changing questions only you can answer. Lean in, get comfortable, and trust the process. Refocus then focus again, and get serious about changing something. Do something, anything that’s different from what you’d normally do. Especially, if it leads to a better job, a better place to live, entertaining healthier relationships.
Too nervous to call? Call. Too apprehensive to go? Go. Afraid to speak? Speak. Well, you get my drift.
DO SOMETHING
Stuck in some conflict, wanting something new to show up in your life, but all you do is wish, dream, and pray? Is this working for you? If it is, comment below. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wishing and dreaming, for this is how we cast our nets. And the power of prayer is truly miraculous. But God requires us to step up, to work towards those dreams. Things normally do not just land in our laps. When we pray in faith, God can deliver, but he counts on you to take the required action. Have your sights on a particular job? You have to apply. Interested in meeting someone new? You have to get out of the house.
The bottom line is the life you desire depends on you. You create your happiness by investing in you, for you.
Are you being a little selfish, a little greedy with your time? Good. Because sometimes that’s what it will take, to move from not so great to amazing.
Want to recover from something, a past hurt, from some situational pain, from those questionable moments that have you teeter-tottering between hope and hopelessness? Do something. I say, start with prayer and move away from those things, people, and places that do not have your best interests at heart.
The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. Go out and make some good things happen.
FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS
Learn from every mistake and from every not so great experience. Grow through it, get past it, so you can be stronger than who you were before that something hit the fan to disturb your mellow. As dramatic as it is or was, use what happened to your advantage, use it as a stepping stone.
We build our lives from a series of choices. And with every decision, we take the steps to get to where we want to be. When passionate about investing in who you are, believing you deserve better, you are already at the starting line, prepared to take the initiative to achieve whatever it is.
If you want it, just do it. Go after it, whatever IT is. Invest your time and energy, focusing on the life you envision. Why stew on all those things that don’t matter, caught up in those emotionally charged situations, draining your energy, until you are left sitting on some fence?
We focus on loss, on pain, on what we didn’t do but could have, should have done. Nothing but a waste of time. We spend too much time overthinking, overanalyzing, getting nowhere because we don’t do what we need to do to get the ball rolling. Perhaps it’s rolling, but in the wrong direction.
There will always be circumstances, situations, and matters beyond our control. Will any of this make a difference years from now? No. What matters is you, your intentions, your health, well-being, your life. The life you want to create for yourself and for those you love, along with the legacy you wish to leave behind.
ROAD TO DECISIVENESS PATHWAY TO SUCCESS
If you want something to change, it will be up to you. What stories are you telling yourself? What storyline are you fixating on? Are these narratives placing you in a state of negativity, preventing you from making those important decisions?
When positive and optimistic, when passionate about something, notice your spirit soar. Whether it’s a connection, a hobby, what you do for a living, when you make the time to do whatever it takes to make it possible, to make it a success, this fuels the fire. Work it until it works, until it unfolds before your very eyes, transforming the dream into reality.
Want to heal? Pray for healing then choose to heal. Want to be free? Pray for freedom then choose freedom. Want to do it right? Choose to do it right. You choosing is where it all begins. Choosing to pray, choosing to change, choosing to experience a much better life.
Do what you need to do to heal, to tap into peace and contentment, so you can achieve a state of well-being.
Do whatever it takes to usher in the happiness you desire and deserve.
What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything?
DECIDE TO DECIDE THEN DECIDE TO CHANGE SOMETHING
Feeling blocked? Start some creative project, enroll in something you have an interest in, travel somewhere you’ve never been before.
Contemplating a new beginning? Take the road to decisiveness and start planning a new journey. Along the way, inspiration will pay a visit, taking you from indecisiveness to where you decide it’s time to change what needs changing.
Life is filled with so many exciting twists and turns. Hop off the straight and narrow whenever you can and take the winding paths.
Do what makes you happy. Life is short. Do yourself proud by heading on the road to decisiveness, focused and determined to see it through. Happy and confident.
