With every ending, there is a new beginning. Something ends, something new begins. A new way of living, of being. A new normal will eventually take place. If we remain doubtful and worried, it’s not only unhealthy. It’s destructive. We always fear the unknown, notably, when we’re headed down a path we haven’t traveled. Unfortunately, fear will take us in the wrong direction if we let it, making it difficult to overcome the adversity. We can experience the beginning of a new tomorrow knowing we are in charge of creating a new normal.
We sense that ‘normal’ isn’t coming back, that we are being born into a new normal: a new kind of society, a new relationship to the earth, a new experience of being human.
When our world shakes our foundation, we don’t feel at ease. Instead, we feel anxious and nervous about tomorrow. Anxiety now permeates throughout our world. A world now reeling in the unknown. We ask how this happened. Why it happened. Why now? But the key is to move through the challenges. And by getting through the trials, we get beyond the pain and move past heartache. The reason something happened may not be as important as what we do with what we have to work with. It starts with the way we think, and with how we plan the rest of our lives. Life will go on, with or without us. We all have the responsibility of creating a new normal. We can make our lives easy or we can make this journey more difficult.
I believe that we are solely responsible for our choices, and we have to accept the consequences of every deed, word, and thought throughout our lifetime.
THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING
The way we think is so important. When we replace bad thinking with good thinking, we switch from negative to positive energy. Something changes for the better whenever we are optimistic. When confident, there’s no choice but to be open to something new. Because of this optimism, one can’t accept anything other than the possibilities. We can get through anything. We just have to believe we can.
Nothing is impossible unless you think it is.
CREATING A NEW NORMAL
There’s no alternative but to accept what happened. We deal with the setback, learn from it, and understand and trust within time something new will unfold. Sadly, we focus and hold on to what was. Whenever we are consumed with the memory of how something used to be, reminiscing about days gone by, we get stuck in a place that no longer exists. The key is to break free from dwelling on how things were, and release any unhealthy thoughts that only keep us stuck in uncomfortable headspace. One day, we will witness the beginning of a new tomorrow. And get to a point where we’re directed toward a new path, one that leads to a new normal.
