We all know, life comes with its fair share of challenges. But with every challenge, there’s an opportunity to put things into perspective. Challenges can set the stage for growth for it’s here where we can learn the most. Or perhaps it’s where we can learn to grow. The key is to learn the hard lessons, to overcome the obstacles, so we can get past the adversity.
Strength doesn’t come from what you can do. It comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn’t.
We can conquer adverse events or negative situations. If we believe we can, we will. If we remain flexible enough to ride out the storms in life, and if we dabble with our creativity just enough to tap into a solution. We will adapt. We can overcome anything, but we must first understand our role. The role we play within the context of the challenge, the conflict, or the shakeup.
Some challenges we experience could very well be self-imposed. These perceived obstacles remind us to be true to who we are, to what we value and believe. Whenever we are truthful with ourselves, candid about our situation, and upfront with our intentions, we can master the hard lessons. Do what needs doing, say what needs saying, and what happens? An understanding takes place, and a shift occurs.
ISSUES REQUIRE OUR PATIENCE AND COURAGE
Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you’re doing the impossible.
Circumstances can change if we allow the change to take place. But first, we must be mindful that possibilities exist just outside the confines of a conflict, a challenge, or a problem. Whether a conflict is within oneself or whether it involves difficult people or demanding situations. Despite what prevails, regardless of how a problem arises, the matter calls for attention beckoning to be resolved.
Our problems call upon solutions while we need resolution. But before we achieve this goal, it requires our patience to sort through what’s transitioning in our lives. It takes unflinching determination along with steadfast conviction and a novel approach to resolve matters. There’s a need for a restoration between spirit and soul, and a reconciliation between head and heart.
Solutions are visible to those who aren’t afraid to take the proper stance, to exercise a positive attitude, and to take the initiative to resolve a situation. The means to solving any dicey issue begins with our ability to first define the problem and interpret its root cause. This will expose the matter, which then makes it easier to break down and manage. If we understand what brought about a difficult situation, we have an awareness of how to resolve it. We can use an innovative approach to come up with the solutions.
Life’s challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, they’re supposed to help you discover who you are.
CHANGES ARE INEVITABLE
Sometimes these very issues not only challenge you to step beyond the border of the conflict, but to step outside of your comfort zone. Perhaps the challenge is challenging you to be the best version of who you are. Whenever something appears unexpectedly, it forces you to take a second look. It asks you to change something in your life or to alter something about it. There’s always a reason behind a problem.
Anyone can give up; it is the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone would expect you to fall apart, now that is true strength.
HARD LESSONS
Whatever we tell ourselves (whether right or wrong) and whatever we do, are two different things that will affect where we end up. We put up with situations tempting us to get involved in what isn’t our issue. But for whatever reason, we make it ours by playing into the hand dealt by others. And down the line, we have to give our heads a shake. We have only ourselves to blame. Was it worth it? It was if we learned the hard lessons and wasn’t if we didn’t.
