We usually fear the unknown, fearing what we have yet to uncover and what we have yet to discover. Sometimes fear pushes us out and into unchartered territory. And sometimes… it pulls us through, and into a world we aren’t ready for. The thing is, this place we may not be ready for, isn’t within our comfort zone.
The comfort zone is the great enemy to creativity; moving beyond it necessitates intuition, which in turn configures new perspectives and conquers fears.
Over time, the comfort zone can become quite an uncomfortable place. Oh sure it’s familiar, as we are accustomed to this lifestyle, this way of being, this way of living. A way of life we fell into or one we worked hard to create. We learned to live within the parameters of what we ultimately settled for. It’s a habitual stance, one we can relate to.
However, there comes a time when something calls us out of our comfort zone and into the unknown. When we finally trust our heart and listen to intuition. We know when it’s the right time to move to the right place to meet the right people, and who knows… maybe even fall for the right one. Trust yourself, have faith in your instinctive knowing, for your heart will be sure to guide you in the right direction.
But what happens is we refuse to listen to that something special within us. Intuition is that whispering nudge telling us to look at something different, but only in a different way.
Why do we stay trapped in unstable situations?
Remain in unhealthy places?
Tolerate unreliable partnerships?
Put up with offensive relationships?
Why?
Life is too short.
TRUST YOUR BEST LIFE LIVES OUTSIDE THE COMFORT ZONE
When entrapped in negative scenarios, patterns, habits, routines, and conditions, this will only push us further in the wrong direction. Our heart tells us, “Wait, you are heading the wrong way.” Stop listening and you will only experience the wrong things with the wrong people. Perhaps it’s time to reassess our current state of affairs. Maybe even get some objective feedback.
Negative thinking is subtle and deceptive. It wears many faces and hides behind the mask of excuses. It is important to strip away the mask and discover the real, root emotion.
What happens when we lose trust along that road to nowhere, the trust that’s so difficult to regain? It could be the trust between people or trusting yourself. When trust is broken, it’s a sign. Time to shift your thoughts to neutral, assess the situation, do something different, get the assistance you need, and get involved in the things you love. This will help you move away from feeling bad to feeling better about the situation or most importantly feeling better about yourself.
Sometimes we have to let go of what’s no longer working, and trust me that’s never easy. But know this… once the weight of oppression falls away, and the injustice is behind you, the freedom you experience from that alone will set you on the right track. The right track gets you on the right path physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
YOU HAVE THE POWER TO DESIGN THE LIFE YOU LOVE
Unfortunately, there will always be someone, somewhere having to put up with something. Negativity in any shape or form will always present itself in negative people, places, things, and events, and will always overshadow everything. And I mean everything, even the beauty of life that surrounds us, the love we hold, and the dreams we value. But that’s because we give these negative forces or negative energy the power to do so. Why not focus less on the negative stuff and more on what you want your life to look like outside of the so-called comfort zone? Concentrate on the plans you have to accomplish those dreamy goals and design the kind of life you have the power to create.
Try new things, step out of your comfort zone, take risks, do things in ways you’ve never done before, ask for help, surround yourself with self-actualized people, become obsessed with the fact that you have one go-round on this planet, and realize how precious and important it is not to squander that.
