Whenever we dance with indecisiveness, there’s the tendency to get stuck. And whenever we’re stuck, something needs to change. But what? A change in music helps us rediscover dance steps. A change of scenery helps take our minds off something or someone. Whatever we do, when we allow for change, it shapes who we are through shifting perspective.
When we reconnect to our creativity, it not only motivates us to get the ball rolling in another direction, but it helps us to take our thoughts off those things that really don’t matter. Just by trusting those intuitive moments, we can achieve the impossible. But sometimes, we have to miss a step, lose our balance, and get lost along the way before we understand what we truly lost and what we truly miss.
But before you can find your way, you need to retrace the steps and place the focus on your heart. If you need to find your way out of a situation, a relationship, a job, an issue, there will always be telltale signs. Signs that usually show up as nagging sensations. Sometimes these feelings are ever so subtle that it’s difficult to detect.
SHIFTING PERSPECTIVE, A CREATIVE PROCESS
The thing is, deep down, we know, but for whatever reason, we end up looking the wrong way. We look back. Not only do we look back, but we also get fixated on the wrong story. We end up creating a false image in our minds only to paint an inaccurate picture of something or someone. How do we get out from under a negative mindset? Well, for starters, we can stop engaging the past as if it still existed. The key is to stay positive while confidently planning for the future. Easier said than done. What about letting creativity take the spotlight?
The key is doing something creative. Find new places to explore, get engaged with life, try different things. Challenge yourself every day to step outside the familiar, the ordinary, the routine, the habit. Outside the comfort zone provides more than a shift of perspective, it will also help you get beyond the point of stuck, and that changes everything.
Somebody should tell us, right at the start of our lives, that we are dying. Then we might live life to the limit, every minute of every day. Do it! I say. Whatever you want to do, do it now! There are only so many tomorrows.
